# Grand Lake Community Ministry — The Blue House
> A Christian lay organization providing free food, clothing, and utility assistance to families in need in northeast Oklahoma since 1985.

## About

Grand Lake Community Ministry (GLCM), known as The Blue House, has served the Grand Lake area of northeast Oklahoma since 1985. The ministry provides temporary assistance to individuals and families in need, given in Christian love with no strings attached. An opportunity is also offered to receive spiritual support from ministers of the participating local churches.

The Blue House gets its name from the original sky-blue house that once housed its operations. Today, the ministry operates from a larger facility at 268 W. Broadway Ave., Langley, OK 74350.

## Services

- **Food Pantry**: Free food assistance for eligible adults and children, available once every 30 days. In 2025, the food pantry served 2,590 families.
- **Clothing**: Free clothing available to all, regardless of whether you are a food client. Visits are limited to 20 minutes, once per month, with 1 bag per person per visit. In 2025, 1,936 people received clothing assistance.
- **Utility Assistance**: Help with utility bills, available once per year. A current cut-off notice must be provided.
- **Emergency Household Items**: In the event of a fire, storm, or accident, the Blue House provides emergency household supplies.
- **Spiritual Support**: Ministers from 11 participating local churches are available to offer prayer and pastoral care — offered freely, never imposed.

## Donations

The Blue House relies entirely on donations to remain open. All gifts — food, clothing, or monetary — go directly toward serving families in the Grand Lake area.

- **Drop Off In Person**: Donations of food, clothing, or cash are welcome at 268 W. Broadway Ave., Langley, OK 74350 during open hours (Tuesday and Friday, 9:30–11:30 AM).
